Since I was a little girl I loved to draw and color. What child doesn't??
I'd grab a big box of crayons , arrange them to look like a rainbow.. and then dump them out so I could arrange them again. I didn't know about such things as colorwheels, compliments, split compliments, value, intensity..yadda,yadda, yadda...who cared??...the colors were FUN!!
Theresa Niner lives in Morgantown, WV with her husband and "four legged" child "Tootsie", a red short-haired mini-dachshund . Her work has been published in "JoSonja's Artist's Journal " , "The Decorative Painter" , and "Creative Painting Magazine" , as well as instructional packets for sale at SDP's national convention and the Heart of Ohio Tole Convention in Columbus, Ohio . Handpainted items have been marketed through the Tamarack , locally and online , as well as commissioned custom work. Theresa has participated in programs to paint ornaments for the White House and Library of Congress Christmas trees.
Her greatest satisfaction however, comes from the smiles on the faces of friends and family who receive a handpainted gift!!

Thanks for visiting...I'd love for you to sign the guestbook below so that I may know more about you too!
As a "grown-up", it occurred to me that I hadn't "played" in quite a while.
My job as a nurse and personal life as wife and mom were very fulfilling (all moms are supposed to say things like that, so they don't feel guilty about wanting something for themselves).
One day at work , a co-worker mentioned a Tole painting class she was taking as part of the adult education series offered in our community. She convinced me to take it as well. Even though I had no idea what "Tole" was, I thought if it involved painting, how bad could it be? Afterall it was a whole night to myself to PLAY again!
Fast forward this many years (how many fingers am I holding up???), and I've come full circle....from coloring, painting, selling, designing and publishing in magazines and packets....to just plain painting for the FUN of it!!
